Ridin’ on the wave of God’s love —
It can be precarious,
It’s sometimes hilarious,
But don’t be nefarious —
Just ride it, ride on.
As we ride the wave of God’s love —
Our balance let’s keep,
His truth and love seek,
Be humble and meek —
Keep ridin’, keep on.
To ride on the wave of God’s love —
Let go and surrender,
Receive His love tender,
His grace do not hinder —
Let go and ride on.
… And if you should fall —
Attend to His call;
Get up and stand tall …
This broken world of suffering souls;
So many hurting — it’s out of control.
We need a Savior, a God Who can mend.
We need a Father, Who loves without end.
We need the Spirit, Who gives us the power
To overcome Satan in ungodly hour.
Time to surrender your will unto His.
Let Him live in you, and give you His gifts.
When your candle’s barely burning,
When your breath is just a sigh,
Step out into the darkness —
Lift your prayer to God on high.
Remember how He loves you
Amidst your fear and sin;
Remember how He died for you
And did the victory win.
He’ll carry you in darkness,
He’ll comfort you in grief.
He’ll give you all you ever need
If you’ll just trust in Him.
And if you don’t feel trusting,
If doubt and fear creep in,
Just let it go, give Him control,
Just give it all to Him.
Look beyond what eyes can see.
Look beyond the bounds of time.
Look forward to eternity —
What will be your destiny?
Gently He is calling you;
Gently calls you by your name.
Will you listen to His call?
Will you give Him all your all?
Agony is all I feel
Until I get to You and see,
Until I let You get to me
And set me free.
When I let myself let go,
When you live in me and grow,
When I let You set me free,
Is when I see.
I catch the glimpses from above,
I’m sometimes drowned within Your love,
But other times I lose the vision,
Have no focus; feel division.
I thank You for the battle won,
I thank You for Your Holy Son,
For Him who died upon a tree
And will complete good work in me.
I looked around, what did I see?
A person looking back at me.
Was he the I, or I the it,
Was he to me my destiny?
And who am I and who are you?
Our destinies together through
Has God ordained; it must be true.
A myst’ry lies beneath it all,
I do not understand the call.
But still with trust I must go forth;
My circumstances must not force.
Accept, accept, and let it be.
When your soul is weary,
When life is dull and dreary,
When your eyes get teary,
Take the time, take the time —
To smell the air,
To feel the wind in your hair,
To see the beauty of a flower.
To feel the sun on your skin –
Don’t let the light grow dim.
Take a minute, take an hour,
To stop your soul from getting sour.
Everything will one day die
Even you, and even I.
And will it matter at that time
The thing today that seemed so dire?
Let it go, let it go.
You don’t need to make a show
Of how good you are, and how brave.
Don’t let your pride kill the joy inside.
No matter what I do or say,
Jesus, You will have your way.
I fight, I beat against your chest,
Though I know You want my best.
I know You have an awesome scheme,
A plan beyond my wildest dreams.
My blinded eyes, my stopped up ears,
Surely You will calm my fears.
Kicking, screaming, still I go;
Your plan for me I do not know.
When sweet surrender finally comes —
Not my will, but Thine be done.
ALL ABOUT YOU
Sometimes I forget
That it’s not about me;
It’s all about You
Sometimes I think
I have to make it all work
Instead of letting You have your way
Sometimes I think
I have to be a certain way
Instead of just being
What You made me to be
Lord, help me to let go
Help me let You run the show
Help my heart to trust in You
Help me get through
You’re the One Who really knows
All the things I’m thinking of
My thoughts, my feelings, what’s inside
There’s really nothing I can hide
What about my ugliness?
I need to let Your tenderness
Remove the fear
And dry the tear
Of parts of me I’d like to hide;
Oh, please stay at my side
My hearts in a jumble
All in a tumble
I sure like to grumble
And my feet tend to stumble
Lord, I give it to You
I give it to You
